This Cookie Notice explains how WhatsChat uses cookies and similar technologies on our marketing site and dashboard.

What cookies we use

We keep this deliberately minimal. WhatsChat does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Essential cookies (always on). These are required for the site to function and can't be switched off:

• Authentication session cookies, set by our authentication provider, so you stay signed in to your dashboard
• A language preference stored so the site remembers which of our five languages you're browsing in

Cookies from the widget itself

The widget.js script you embed on your own website uses your visitor's browser sessionStorage (not a cookie) to remember which trigger scenarios have already fired during their visit, so the same popup doesn't reappear repeatedly. This data never leaves the visitor's browser and is not sent to us.

Third-party cookies

If you choose to pay for a Pro subscription, our payment processor Stripe may set its own cookies during checkout to prevent fraud and process your payment securely. These are governed by Stripe's own privacy and cookie policies.

Managing cookies

Because we only use essential cookies, there's no cookie consent banner to manage — turning them off would prevent you from staying logged in. You can still clear cookies at any time through your browser settings; you'll just need to sign in again afterward.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice if the cookies we use change. We'll update the date below when we do.
